The Viyah Events team is headed up by Michelle Mehmi, her passion for the industry shines through and her creative mind is always looking to work on that something a bit different and unique. Her attentive and warm personality puts clients at ease and nothing is ever too much. 

Supported by a strong and talented team together they have over 35 years of industry experience in wedding planning and within the corporate hospitality and service trade. With this experience comes extensive venue knowledge, negotiation skills and second to none organisation and planning.

Having worked in marketing and corporate events, organising Events at high profile London venues such as The Ivy and 30 St Mary Axe, better known as ‘The Gherkin’, Michelle’s advice was always sought when friends and family got married or were organising parties.

When it came for the time for her to get married her expectations were high given the industry she was in, however she often found that companies she met didn’t always offer the service one would expect. Michelle’s dedication and passion as well as her belief that everyone should receive an excellent service, especially when dealing with one of the most important day of their lives, led her to follow her dream and set up Viyah Wedding & Event Services.

With a degree from LSE in Social Anthropology and being of mixed British and Asian heritage growing up between two cultures and faiths Michelle also specialises in Mixed Faith Marriages. She advises on how to successfully merge traditions and cultural elements creating a harmonious wedding. She also specialises in finding unique venues for special events.

Above and beyond, her aim is to collaborate with you to ensure that the build up and the big day itself is an enjoyable and truly memorable experience!
